26/07/2021 CEMEP is the European Committee of Manufacturers of Electrical Machines and Power Electronics, representing an industry with a market value of more than €22 billion and around 200,000 employees. The Full members of CEMEP are 13 National Associations in Europe, representing manufacturers of electric motors, variable speed drives and uninterruptible power supplies. Since 2020 Cemep memebrship is open also to Companies (Corporate membership).

The Cemep Association allows industry to co-ordinate actions at the European level, with the main topics being: market evolution, standardisation, regulation, promotion and connection with other products & professional groups. The objective of CEMEP is to promote and to support the common technical, industrial, economic, environmental and political interests of the European motors, VSD and UPS industries (products, systems and assemblies).

Through CEMEP, the industry speaks with one voice and deals with the EU technical and environmental directives and other common industrial matters. The CEMEP organisation includes four Industry Groups (High Voltage Motors, Low Voltage Motors, Variable Speed Drives and Uninterruptible Power Supplies) and three Working Groups (CEMEP-NEMA, Circular Economy Task Force and Technical Board).
