In July 2022, CEMEP made market research to determine the market shares of the different IE- classes for electric motors in Europe and the impact of regulations. In 2015, more than half of the motors were still in the class IE2 the share of IE3 was 16%. Seven years later, in 2021, 70% of motors placed on the EU market are IE3 motors.
